Hey guys.

Soooo theres not much happening right now to blog about.

Heres my daily routine for the week...

• Wake up somewhere around 40 times before i actually get out of bed..
• Walk into school looking at the now visible warmth escaping my mouth as i exhale..
• Sit through classes filled with hope of the end of the semester as we study study study for finals.
• After school theres babysitting and/or a photoshoot then home up late to edit and do homework....

and thats pretty much it.. haha

sorry for the boring post... but thats how its going. :)

Black Friday! :)

Hello fellow bloggers. :)

I have decided to tell you about yesterday, my very first serious Black Friday. :D

It started on Thanksgiving night around 10 o clock when my darling friend Justine came over. We stayed up all night chatting about random things and constantly checking the clock awaiting 3am when we would venture out into the world of insane shopping. (oh wait. I forgot to mention, while Justine was strong enough to stay awake all night, i was weak and ended up getting an hour and a halfs worth of Zs.)

Finally, around 4am, we left the house destined towards my personal favorite store, Target. :)
the roads were much clearer than I figured they would be. This could mean 1 of 2 things- Either everyone was already shopping, most people had already gone home, or they werent out driving around yet. Turns out it was the first option- everyone was already in lines outside of stores. Justine, my mom, and I ended up around the 300th people in line. Fortunately, most everyone in front of us made the HUGE mistake of attacking the store with a trusty red cart. We were smarted than that. :) Dodging people merchandise and seemingly thousands of carts we quickly ran to the back of the store where electronics were being sold. It was too easy really. within moments we had all 10 things that we went in for and were waiting in the checkout line laughing at the packed isles of people in red cart traffic shoving their way towards the now devowered electronics section. High five Mom and Justine. :)

After mom so kindly hooked us up with some french toast sticks from Burger King, we went to several other stores including Old Navy where I bought some very comfy pajama pants and a hat, Berean where we got some free pens, and Cost Plus world market where mom shopped while me and justine dosed off on a very comfortable couch. :)
After this, we headed to the malla nd into forever21, we just wanted to look around,we were mostly out of money anyway. Then one of the ladies standing by the front entrance informed us that if we were interested, we could enter in a drawing to win a forever21 $100 gift card. Why not? Of course we entered. The suprising part is that Justine actually won! :D it was so exciting! Justine tried on somewhere around 20 outfits and ended up getting somewhere around 10 along with some boots and tights. It was legit lemme tell ya.
after that we met up with my mom again (she had been in the Disney Store looking for a few things) and we ate a bit of lunch, concluding the shopping portion of the day around noon.

But wait, theres more. :)

After Justine went home and me getting another half hour of shuteye, the family headed off to meet up with some fabulous old friends for a photoshoot and family night. :)
The shoot went well, hopefully they like the pictures. :D
after the shoot we went to their house for some Barros pizza and a little quality friend time. I have never had Barros before and just so y'all know, its fantastic. After setting the younger ones up with a movie upstairs we decided to have a mini-Office-marathon. :D It was great. I love them :)

annnnnnd that was pretty much the conclusion to my black friday.
It was a GREAT DAY! :) :) :)

Hey! i forgot to put in the last post that i am so so so so excited about Black Friday tomorrow. :) we are most likely pulling an all nighter and leaving the house around 3ish. :D

Thanksgiving. :)

Hey bloggers! happy stinking Thanksgiving!

Today has been a fabulous day. :) It started pretty early- around 7:30ish.. We had Thanksgiving at our house this year so we had some last minute cleaning to do- especiallt dishes (my job:/ ) haha. :) and then we were off to cooking. :)

Family started arriving around 9 to eat breakfast- Muffins and juice. :)

Lunch was planned for 2 o clock but ended up starting around 330- the turkey took a wee bit longer than expected. :) There was waaaay enough food. More than we needed actually but thats always nice for leftovers. We had so many different things that we made- from the turkey to mexican corn pudding to my grandmas famous cranberry sauce and my aunt and uncles annual lil smokeys. Needless to say i was very impressed. :) :)

Family time was great. :) i havent seen my aunt uncles and cousins much over the past couple months so it was really nice to hve them over for the past few days. :)

We got some fun pictures too. :D

sorry i havent kept this up. I am a failure to blogspot.com. haha i will try to start it up again though. Ive just been crazy busy over the last few weeks. I am very happy to say that i have been blessed with a couple families that have been willing to be my guinea pigs with my photography thing. Its been SO MUCH FUN! and i am starting to build up my portfolio so that eventually i will be able to start my own website and little business thing a ma bob. ;) Needless to say, i am extremely ecstatic. :)

ill be sure to post some pictures soon and hopefully posy a link to a photo site to call my own! WOOP!

Hey guys!

SO.
today was a fabulous day. :)
It started somewhere around 8:30 (YAY for sleeping in!!!)
I came down stairs and decided to play around with my all new, fantastic, wonderful, beautiful digital camera.
(side story: Thursday I also had a wonderful day! It started with hanging out with my favorite KT and Kortney... Then my friend Liz came over to stay with us for a little while and surprised me with THE BEST CAMERA EVER!!!! i really really really cant thank her enough. I laughed, i cried- it was a good time.)
Back to the original story.. after that i went swimming for a little while with the fam. We had a bbq picnic sort of a thing. After that me, mom, and Zoe went to Target (Where i got my new hat:D ) and did a little grocery shopping.
After that we headed to
Kathy and Dereks reception which was lots of fun. :) I got to hang out with Katie Kortney and Liz which was much needed. :)
So anyway thats what happened in my life today. :)

Fun at The Park!

Hey guys!

Today a little while after me and my sister had both gotten home from school my brother had the genius idea of walking down to the park. What we didn't know, however, was that the park had been irrigated recently and the whole park was flooded. At first we were thinking, ahhh bummer, now what are we gonna do? But after a few seconds we took off our shoes excitedly and proceeded to play apple baseball. (I was very excited when i hit an apple and it broke into a million pieces.) Suddenly i realized what a great picture taking opportunity this was! T liked that idea and ran home for the camera. The sunset was awesome the water was relatively cool and the company of my brother and sister was greatly appreciated. :)
It was SOOO much fun. :) i cant wait for the next time they irrigate the park by our house. haha. Care to join us? ;)

Long Time No Blog!

Hey guys! :)

So i was just chillen on the computer editing some pictures and reading the recent facebook posts of all my pals and realized that i havent blogged in WAY too long! So i thought that i should tell everybody about my day....

This morning i got home around 3am from babysitting 2 BEAUTIFUL kids, Russell and miss Payton. :) So i slept for a while and when i woke up i looked at the clock and realized that i had woken up 2 hours way to late!

After getting ready as fast as i could i rushed to the mall to meet 2 awesome new friends Kylee and Amy. :) Along with each of them came their beautiful daughters Addison and Lyla, Kylees sister Lexa, and Lexas boyfriend Garrett. Lemme just say that we had SO much fun! Both babies did fabulously well at being absolutely ADORABLE all day long. I cant wait to hang out with all of them again. Thank God for YoungLives camp bringin us all together! Im really looking forward to hopefully be doing childcare for the next club meeting in September. :)

So anywho thats been my day. Now im sitting at home thinking that a nap sounds mighty fine right about now. Thanks for checkin in. :]

Today... :)

Hey guys! :)

Today was definitely a typical Monday. Dead tired this morning, had to drag myself to school, had to frequently remind myself that i was actually suposed to be awake and that i wasnt in some wacked out dream. Yeah. Typical Monday. It wasnt all terrible however, i got to make chocolate chip cookies in first hour Life Facs this morning. :D yeah i know piece of cake right? Well actually we messed up the cookies twice. The recipe was very confusing. ;)
Following Life Facs was English, History and the beloved French. :)
School really isnt that bad once you wake up and get used to being there. I think the first week is just the hardest because, even though your not doing anything, your schedule is all out of order. Other than that as long as you dont choose to do any crazy hard classes, its really not that difficult.



Oh my goodness! So. i was thinking about this today.. and im pretty sure now since doing childcare for YoungLives camp that I am really passionate about this ministry. Because every time someone at school says something mean regarding a few girls i know about them being pregnant i want to beat them!! I have learned so much by hanging out with these teen moms who have become such good friends of mine. For the most part, they are mature, REAL (Which i love so much), and they are so much in love with God because they really seem to have a grasp of His grace and His love. Though i myself am not a teen mom, and dont plan on becoming one, I feel like i can relate alot to these girls. Sure, yeah they've made a few mistakes but who hasnt! And still, through all the looks words and losses, they are doing what they can to not only look out for themselves but also work their butts off making sure their babies are well fed, well taken after, and loved. To me, this takes some guts. Props to them. I cant wait to spend more time with these lovely ladies. They are strong, beautiful, and I most definitely look up to them. Thanks for being in my life girls. I love ya. :)

Hello there, and welcome to The Life and Laughter. :) my name is Alyssa and this is my very first blog post. :) I must say I am pretty excited. Up to this point my life has gone along just about the same as most peoples lives. Theres been a great abundance of laughter, love, hardships, and dull moments. Somehow though, i find it hard to agree that there isnt so many crazy, wonderful, new, moments everyday to digest. I find it hard to believe that God could ever let a day go to waste without showing any given person something simply amazing. Whether that something was big bold and beautiful or something so very small. Either way i think that every day holds something life changing....

Before i go off on a tangent i would basically like to wrap this up by explaining, I thought maybe blogging would help me out a little by forcing me to pick through things that happen in my day to day. I hope my posts don't bore you to death and maybe on occasion they might actually end up amusing you.
